Planning a Gathering in July

Thank you all so much for the kind posts and e-mails and calls. We are feeling very, very loved. I'm sure Mom never imagined that the close relationships she formed with friends and family would end up comforting her kids after she died... but they have.

Sam and I are aiming to host a gathering in memory of Mom around her birthday (July 17). The day depends on when we're able to book space. I'll be working on that this week. When I have a date I'll let you know ASAP via this blog.

I'm writing an obituary for Mom that should come out in next week's Daily Progress. I'll put it up on the blog, too.

FYI, I added some pics from Sue and Sam today.

Emily,
Thank you and your family for letting us be a part of this phase of your Mom's life. We all look forward to July and the celebration of her life and the beautiful, smart, talented, inspirational woman she was (and is, in my beliefs) I know she would be so proud of you, Sam, Juniee and all the family.
Thanks for adding photos, I personally cannot get enough of them and look forward to purchasing some of her work when it becomes available.
Love you all,
Kathy M.

Emily,
How are you and the family doing? Are you back in California? If so, I'm sorry I missed you.
Not a day will go by that we don't think about, miss and love your Mom and care about you, Sam and Juniee.
Love you,
Kathy M.

I met Peg on 8C soon after my return to work from treatment for breast cancer. She went back to the poison control center but we remained friends.
Peg is the only person I have ever met who not only dated while bald from chemo but got married!

Her death did catch me by surprise because just 3 weeks ago Peg offered to photograph an event for me. I was unaware of the progression of the mets.
My heart goes out to Sam, Emily and Juniee
